Proud mama!

While I'm at it, a big CONGRATS! to my dd!!! She participated in an honor band this weekend. Out of the over 80 flute players from 7th-12th grades, she made 2nd chair concert band. That is overall # 12! And, considering she is only 12, and this was her very first competition well... WOW! is all I can say! She practiced until I could hear the bleeps and tweets of that song with or without her playing it. But, soooo... worth it now! The concert was fabulous.

On the blocking... block.

Whew! I've been working on this project on and off since October '05. Finally. I have it completed! This is Kathy's blushing rose purse. It turned out really well. I used DMC white size 20. Haven't progressed down to size 30 thread yet...
Thanks to some awesome technical support! I learned about crocheting beads with this baby. Wow. A new wrinkle in my brain! I am going to display it in a shadow box. So alittle blocking, alittle stiffening... maybe one day it will be carried down the aisle during a wedding *sniff* .... passed on for generations to come.... who knows... ?

January swap square! What a beautiful pattern! I love this square. Thank you so much to Anna " Yarnaholic". It is simply gorgeous!

Crinoline Lady 2006

This is a revamped crinoline lady. The pattern is from the 1940's. We are starting to scrapbook and I thought this would be an adorable addition to the girls room. This one is for the oldest dd.

New Year! New Crochet!

This is a patricia k. pattern from the Coffee N Cream Leisure Arts booklet. I used DMC size 10 thread. Worked up wonderfully! I love this "airy" design!
