The Pattern is Chosen

After spending alittle time going through patterns, I've chosen the blogiversary pattern. It is from Elizabeth Hiddleson's vol 17, "frosty". Made with size 20 thread, this doily should be around 18 inches in diameter. Hope you guys like it. I thought it was a beautiful pattern.

Blocking Day

I finished up 2 more doilies over the weekend. And, today was blocking day. The black one, is another Hiddleson doily made with size 20 black opera thread and size 10 hook. It is about 12 inches across. The butterfly doily is an Aly Hymel design. This is the 2nd time I've made it. And, enjoyed it both times. Made with size 10 threads and size 10 hook. The dd chose the colors for the butterflies.

Serenity Now

Just thought I'd share a few pics from the weekend. The girls and I planted some flowers, and one took the first splash in the pool. We grilled out, and spent a wonderful time chatting over dinner. Enjoy!

I'm currently finished up a Hiddleson doily and an Aly Hymel doily. They are on 2 totally different realms of the spectrum. Details and pics coming soon! Stay tuned.

Well its complete. Yes I did it. I rule! Tonight we laid it out and began the long process of blocking the runner. It measures about 5 ft by 3 ft. The largest project I've ever completed. I was so happy I had to take some pics. Its not completely pinned down I'll finish that up tomorrow. But hey i'm stoked about being this complete.

Final Finish

Yes Folks, it's true! I'm on the final round of the edging on the pineapple runner. I am thrilled. and I still want to set fire to it. now more than ever. This is a massive project. It's going to end up being about 30x48. I will probably use it on the dining table after the contest. I originally had figured it to go on the coffee table. Oh well. I can adjust. So, unless something comes up, tomorrow I will finish up the runner, give it a gentle washing and will lay it out to block. I will take pics and post then. It has really turned out gorgeous. I can almost take a sigh of relief and being to ponder my next project. I have some size 20 block opera thread that I really want to try out. Just don't have a porject in mind....yet. Have a great Thursday! Talk to ya'll soon!
